Our Bulletin 2090 family of Kinetix® cables are a complete family of standard and continuous-flexing cables. Kinetix cables are designed to work in any of your challenging motion applications – simplifying your machine design and helping you minimize maintenance time. Kinetix cables are system tested and validated for optimal performance when paired with their compatible Kinetix drives and motors.

Features

Single Cables

  • Support VP-series motors and Kinetix 5700 and Kinetix 5500 servo drives
  • Provide power and feedback in one cable which reduces setup time, downtime and the number of parts that need to be managed
  • Include motor power, brake and feedback single cable options available from 18…6 AWG
  • Low capacitance design maximizes system power density
  • Feature encoder communication data pair with state-of-the-art noise rejection
  • Follow the DESINA cables standard for jacket colors, making it easier to quickly identify a cable’s purpose on the plant floor
  • Use SpeedTEC DIN motor-end connector for a quick one-quarter turn connection and flying lead or extension receptacle connector drive-end connection options
  • Include NFPA79, UL, and IEC color-coded conductors

Halogen-free PUR or PVC Single Cables

  • Consist of halogen-free PUR (polyurethane) or PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material options chosen for their mechanical and chemical durability
  • Feature overall tinned copper braid, delivering 85% coverage and tested for excellent EMC/EMI performance and permits power and signal conductors in a single cable
  • Offer continuous-flex and continuous-flex extension options that are suitable for 8 million flex-cycles at 7x OD bend radius

TPE Single Cables

  • Consist of thermoplastic elastomer with superior mechanical and chemical properties
  • Feature overall tinned copper braid with aluminum/polyester tape, delivering 100% coverage for excellent EMC/EMI performance
  • Offer 10 AWG, 14 AWG and 18 AWG continuous-flex cables and continuous-flex extension cables that are suitable for 20 million flex-cycles at 10x OD bend radius. The 6 AWG and 8 AWG continuous-flex cables and continuous-flex extension cables are suitable for 6.5 million flex-cycles at 10x OD bend radius

Power and Feedback Cables

  • Support Kinetix VPC, MPM, MPF, MPS, HPK and RDB servo motors, Kinetix MPAS/MPMA linear actuators, Kinetix MPAR and MPAI electric cylinders, LDAT-Series linear thrusters, LDC-Series™ and LDL-Series™ linear motors and Kinetix 5500, 5700, 5100, 6200/6500, 6000, 300/350 servo drives
  • Include power cables with brake options that are available from 16… 2 AWG and feedback cables with smaller cable jacket diameter to make channeling through conduits easier
  • Include feedback cables with flying lead or molded connector (D-sub) options at the drive end
  • Consist of a vinyl TPE and PVC blend material
  • Uses SpeedTEC DIN motor-end connectors for a quick one-quarter turn connection and flying lead or extension receptacle connector or D-sub connector drive-end connection options
  • Feature 100% braid coverage for best EMC performance
  • Follow the DESINA cables standard for jacket colors, making it easier to quickly identify a cable’s purpose on the plant floor
  • Include NFPA79, UL, and IEC color-coded conductors
  • Offer 8 AWG, 10 AWG, 14 AWG and 16 AWG continuous-flex cables and continuous-flex extension cables that are suitable for 20 million flex-cycles at 12x OD bend radius

TLP Power and Feedback Cables

  • Support TLP motors and Kinetix 5100 servo drives
  • Include separate power, feedback and break cables (for certain motor sizes) options from 18…4 AWG
  • Consist of PVC material
  • Offer a variety drive end options: power and brake cables with flying leads or extension receptacle, feedback cable with integrated battery box and pre-molded connector or extension receptacle
  • Use two types of motor-end connections depending on motor sizes: rectangular connectors for 16AWG and 18AWG, and military style connectors for 16…4 AWG
  • Use a low capacitance design to maximize system power density
  • Feature 85% braid coverage for EMC performance
