What's New

Flange Cable Operator

The new Bulletin 140G Flange Cable Operator improves panel space efficiency by using a more flexible cable that can fit under the flange and a smaller bail mechanism that takes less space below the circuit breaker. The new mechanism also improves access to the circuit breaker terminals, without disassembly. This enables installation of line- and load-side terminal covers and all lug options, including extended and spreader lugs.

The optional “EZ Plate” minimizes installation steps by allowing pre-assembly of the circuit breaker actuation mechanism prior to mounting into control panel and simplifies mounting by providing greater visibility of fastener locations.

Maintenance Mode – 140G K, M & R frames

Maintenance mode enables users to temporarily activate a lower trip current threshold for use during intervals when they are accessing a panel for activities such as maintenance or inspection. When in maintenance mode, the circuit breaker will react more quickly to an increase in current, such as a low level arcing fault, reducing the reaction time and let through energy present during these events. This means less energy that could drive an arc incident, reducing risk to personnel. A dedicated input automatically changes the running state of the circuit breaker from its standard instantaneous trip value to the preset instantaneous trip setting.  A dedicated output contact changes state and can be used to indicate through a control system, pilot light or other means that maintenance mode is engaged.

Maintenance Mode is now available for 400A (K Frame), 800A (M Frame), 1200A (N/NS Frame), 2000, 2500 and 3000A (R Frame) Molded Case Circuit Breakers.
