Our Non-contact Interlock Switches help you protect personnel and equipment. At the same time, flexibility and productivity are points that you must also consider as you design your safety system. For non-contact interlocks, no physical contact (under normal conditions) takes place between the switch and actuator.
The SensaGuard™ Non-contact Interlock Switches feature the latest generation of RFID technology for coding and inductive technology for sensing. These switches have a large sensing range and tolerance to misalignment. They are cost-effective solutions for a wide range of industrial safety applications.
Our Magnetically Coded Non-contact Interlock Switches, with molded-in brackets and diminutive sizes, are extremely versatile and simple to install. For high-risk applications, the control unit is used with a single sensor to give a high-integrity system.
The Ferrogard™ 1, 2, 20 and 21 Non-contact Interlock Switches have plastic rectangular housings, making them ideal for wet environments. The magnetically actuated safety switches offer non-contact reliability together with tolerance to misalignment.
The Ferrogard™ 3, 4 and 5 Non-contact Interlock Switches have terminal connections. These magnetically actuated safety switches offer non-contact reliability together with tolerance to misalignment.
The Ferrogard™ 6, 9, 10, 13, and 14 Non-contact Interlock Switches incorporate slim housings to accommodate narrow mounting areas. They are environmentally sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), which makes them ideal for wet environments. These Ferrogard switches have two active sensing faces allowing more flexible mounting options.
The Ferrogard™ GD2 Non-contact Interlock Switch has a stainless steel housing for added protection against inadvertent impacts to the housing. The contacts are completely sealed to meet IP68 (NEMA 6P) requirements, making them ideal for wet environments. The GD2 also has a wider temperature range than the plastic Ferrogard switches, making them useful in a wider range of applications.
The Ferrogard™ GS1, GS2 Non-contact Interlock Switches are designed for heavy-duty applications. The GS1 is housed in a stainless steel or brass housing. The GS2 offers the same characteristic as the GS1, but in an Ex Range housing for hazardous locations.
The Sipha™ Sensors, with molded-in brackets and diminutive sizes, are extremely versatile and simple to install. The Sipha sensor must be connected to the Sipha control unit giving a monitored circuit. For high-risk applications, the control unit is used with a single sensor to give a high-integrity system. For other applications, multiple sensors (including mechanical switches) can be connected to one Sipha control unit.
