Bulletin 1494 NEMA Disconnect Switches meet industrial requirements for dependable, manually operated disconnecting means. Our switches are available in both fixed- and variable-depth styles with flange- or door-mounting. Flange-mounted disconnect switches are also available in an enclosure. You can depend on them for long-lasting performance in a variety of environments.

1494C Cable-operated Disconnects

  • 30…600 A ratings
  • Available with 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10 ft cable lengths
  • Can accommodate Class E, H, J, and R fuses
  • Precise alignment of the switch with respect to the handle is not required
  • Visible blade construction for safety
  • Can be used with enclosure Types 1, 3R, 4, 4X, and 12
  • Lockable handle in off and on positions

1494D Fixed-depth Flange-mounted Circuit Breakers (Open Type)

  • 3-pole, 600V AC rating
  • 150…1200 A frame sizes
  • Can be used with enclosure Types 1, 12

1494F Fixed-depth Flange-mounted Disconnect Switches (Open Type, Fusible or Non-Fusible)

  • 3-pole, 600V AC rating 30, 60, 100, and 200 A ratings
  • Same switch used for fusible and non-fusible applications
  • Disconnect switch linked to the handle at all times
  • Visible blade construction for safety
  • Right-hand flange operation
  • Standard painted metal handle for Type 1, 3R, and 12, environments

1494G Enclosed Disconnect Switches

  • Switch, mechanism and handle are always connected, even when the enclosure door is open
  • Line shield prevents accidental contact with the line side of the switch
  • Protective fuse cover (optional) prevents accidental contact
  • cULus Listed per UL 98 for switches 30...600 A
  • UL Listed per UL 508 'at motor' disconnect rating for switches 30...100 A

1494G/GX/GY Enclosed Disconnect Switches, Extra Capacity

1494H/HL Safety Switches

  • 1494H is a heavy-duty switch, 1494HL is a general duty switch
  • 30 A, 60 A, 100 A and 200 A switch ratings
  • Lower profile requires less space
  • For use in indoor and outdoor applications
  • Enclosure Types 1, 3R or 12
  • Internal mounting holes for time saving installation
  • Conduit holes available in Type 1 and 3R enclosures for wiring convenience
  • NFPA 79 compliant switch, mechanism and handle are always connected, even when the door is open

1494V Variable Depth Flange-mounted Disconnect Switches
