Many of our PowerFlex® drives offer certified safety options—Safe Torque-Off and Safe Speed Monitor—to help provide integral, cost-effective, and certified protection for AC drive control. |
Features
Safe Torque-Off (DriveGuard®)
- Provide integral, certified protection for AC drive control in variable speed applications
- Prevents a drive from delivering rotational energy to motors
- Quick start-up after a demand on the safety system
- Helps reduce wear from repetitive start-up
- Includes a separate dedicated enable input on the base drive
Safe Speed Monitor
- Lets operators perform process or maintenance work without stopping the machine
- Includes an integrated monitoring relay
- Supports single-axis or multi-axis applications and can be configured as a master or slave
- Includes five inputs, three sets of safety outputs, and one bipolar safety output
- Each input supports safe stop, safe limited speed monitoring, door monitoring, enabling switch monitoring, lock monitoring
- Additional reset input resets and monitors the safety circuit

Safe Torque-off is ideal for safety related applications requiring removal of rotational power to the motor without removing power from the drive.
