PowerFlex 755 AC Drives

PowerFlex® 755 AC Drives provide ease of use, application flexibility, and high performance. They include multiple control and hardware options, as well as optional embedded safety features. These drives are well-suited for a wide variety of motor control applications including pumps, fans, and conveyors. With Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP™, you can place these drives on the same network as Kinetix® drives. A Dual-port EtherNet/IP™ Option Module supports ring, linear, and star topologies, as well as Device Level Ring (DLR) functionality for fault tolerant connectivity and high drive availability.

Available Safety Options

  • Safe Torque-Off option is certified at PLe/SIL3 Cat 3. Removes rotational power to the motor without removing power from the drive for faster start-up after a demand on the safety system. All safety options are available as a kit for user installation
  • Safe Speed Monitor option is certified at PLe/SIL3, Cat 4 and allows you to safely monitor and control the speed of your application which allows operators to perform some process or maintenance work without stopping the machine

Greater Flexibility and Enhanced Capabilities Available in Latest Firmware Release

Firmware Version 12 for the PowerFlex 755 drive expands the use of integrated motion instructions within the Studio 5000™ environment to provide you with greater flexibility and an enhanced Premier Integration experience.

  • Includes I/O capabilities that are accessible through integrated motion instructions which are shared with Kinetix servo drives for a common, simplified user experience
  • Expands use of integrated motion instructions to include:
    • Positive/negative overtravel inputs
    • Motor thermostat input (22-Series I/O card)
    • Pre-charge input
    • Brake output
    • Regeneration OK input
    • Contactor enable output
    • Analog and digital I/O
  • Supports 24 bit feedback for high performance motor control
  • Makes the TorqProve™ feature accessible using integrated motion instructions and:
    • Helps confirm control of the load in lifting or hoisting applications to help protect personnel and assets
    • Simplifies coordination of multiple lifting, hoisting and crane systems using intrinsic motor synchronization
